The WinREST© solution installed for this client includes WinREST© Store UX at the head office, by means of which all outlets are managed centrally by Comserver, which is responsible for the transfer of files and remote maintenance of the outlets.

 

Some outlets function in a Windows environment, while others do so in Linux. To expedite the registration of sales, a bar code reader for registering the product and a weighing scale for recording the weight are connected to FrontOffice. The outlets, by using Microstore, are responsible for the entry of orders, which are sent to the head office, where they are validated and sent to suppliers. After the delivery of products by suppliers, the outlets convert the orders into complete or partial deliveries.
At the head office, after the delivery of data by Microstore, and by cross checking invoices sent by suppliers, the receipts are validated, converted into invoices and sent to the AS400 system, to be integrated in the payment and accounting systems.

 

The Benefits:
After the implementation of the GrupoPIE management solution, the Hussel chain is controlled by only four specialised human elements, each in a different activity area (purchases, store operation, compound products and transfers between stores and technical support). It must be noted that these employees are also responsible for the management of the Café Jeronymus and Quiosque Olá chains, also controlled by WinREST © applications and part of the “normal” operations of Jerónimo Martins Distribuição.
