The WinREST© solution installed for this client includes WinREST© Store UX at the head office, by means of which all outlets are managed centrally by Comserver, which is responsible for the transfer of files and remote maintenance of the outlets.


All the outlets use the Linux operating system. The outlets, by using Microstore, are responsible for the entry of orders, which are sent to the head office, where they are validated and sent to suppliers. After the delivery of products by suppliers, the outlets convert the orders into complete or partial deliveries. At the head office, after the delivery of data by Microstore, and by cross checking invoices sent by suppliers, the receipts are validated, which are converted into invoices and sent to the PHC system, to be integrated with the payment and accounting systems.

 

The Benefits:
The chain of stores did not have computer systems in the outlets, using tills to record sales. The challenge before the PIE Group involved the implementation of the WinREST© solution, within a proposed thirty day period.

Thus, and thanks to the maturity of the products installed and the ease of learning to use them, the PIE Group fulfilled the periods agreed to: in 30 days, the first phase of the project was concluded successfully, with installations in the 58 outlets and the head office.

Right now, the second implementation phase of the solution is under way, which involves the installation of the WinREST © video surveillance system, integration of the data in the central ERP (PHC) and the start of the customer card programme.
