A real time interaction between the sales outlet and a centralised system via the internet is increasingly important for promoting businesses and information from several entities.
In many cases, the problem with this interaction is the lack of technical knowledge amongst the users of this service, together with the security pitfalls involved with this kind of solution.

 

The W4 may be used to build any type of application with a client-server architecture, with the client always being WinREST© FO and the server always being an HTTP server that runs programmes supplied by a central database.
The technology used is similar to the one used to produce dynamic web pages with Server Side Scripting. The only difference is the final result that, in the case of Internet pages is HTML and, in the case of W4, XML. The format of these XML pages is supplied by GrupoPIE so that any interested party may develop the applications. Thus, the W4 enables the development of dynamic pages for WinRest © FO, using the most common programming languages.

 

The interface is aimed at touch screen use. This allows the user to access a W4 service without exiting the FO and without realising that he or she is using an Internet page. The W4 offers new services at the sales outlet and interacts directly with the user.
